Now with the introduction of polarized lenses combined with Eyas 1.60, Hoya provides you the best of both worlds. For the first time ever, the functionality of polarized lenses has been combined with the comfort and quality of thin and elastic Hi-index plastic lenses of superior clarity.

  



The leisure time of consumers is increasing. People spend more and more time on vacations, sports and other outdoor activities, where blinding light or strong reflections can be unpleasant and even dangerous. Polarized lenses neutralise this effect, filtering horizontalyy polarized light and only letting through light that can be comfortably 'processed' by the eye. This results in contrast-rich vision with no awkward brightness and 100% UV-A and UV-B absorption.

Since Hoya's polarized lenses are available in Eyas 1.60 you will have a tailor-made response to the demand for thin, lightweight lenses. Polarized Eyas 1.60* lenses are ideal for rimless frames and come in various sunglass tones. In short, the ideal outdoor lens is now available in combination with the highest-performing material.

  



Polarized lenses neutralise the brightness of white sunlight, ensuring comfort and highlighting contrast vision. They are specially recommended for sports and leisure activities. And thanks to the excellent qualities of the Eyas based material, Hoya's polarized lenses also provide optimal UV-A and UV-B protection. This sets them apart from many 'regular' sunglasses, which depending on the shading of the lenses, offer limited UV protection. What's more, Hoya's polarized lenses ensure realistic image perception, clear colours and contrast-rich vision.


 


 
When light, specially sunlight, is reflected on water, snow or wet roads, horizontal polarization occurs, resulting in blinding.
 
Vertical light transmission occurs, while rays are blocked, eliminating the blinding effect of glare. The polarizing effect depends on the choice of the polarizing base material. Hoya's Polarized is a excellent example of our superior standards.

 

 

 


  


 
Polarizing lenses are perfect for driving**, too. When the road is wet and reflects a lot of sunlight, the ensuing brightness can result in fatigue and hazardous situations, Hoya's polarized lenses neutralise these adverse effects and guarantee relaxed and contrast rich vision. For driving we recommend brown and grey tints, for golfing brown tints. Grey tints are the best option for watersports and skiing.
